This piece is made on the pottery wheel. A black clay body has bene used that contains a high concentration of manganese and Iron oxide, hence the deep black appearance of the clay. The black clay body plays in a beautiful way with the satin matt glaze, it gives different hue's from blue to brown.
Due to a glaze firing up to 1260 degrees Celsius this item has a high durability and withstands a dishwashing session with ease.
